Jane Waterhouse

Jane is a provisional PhD candidate and graduate teaching assistant in the School of Architecture and Planning. She has an interest in the relationship between humans and their experiences of built environments, from architectural phenomenology to environmental psychology to public health in architecture. Her current doctoral research is about architectural factors enabling “aging in place” for elderly in New Zealand. Her past research was a theoretical investigation into the construct of human experiences and drawing as a qualitative analysis and design tool, through the lens of architectural phenomenology and embodiment, environmental psychology, and sociology.
